Imperial Global Fellows—PhD students from Imperial College London—partnered with Cornell faculty to work on summer research on the Cornell Ithaca campus and at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. 

A partnership between Cornell researchers and indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon is marrying traditional and scientific knowledge to protect river ecosystems and their rich biodiversity. Their work is supported by a Global Hubs seed grant.

Their time studying abroad gave graduating seniors Kevin Chang and Ana Hoffman Sole knowledge of new places, new skills and rich new communities. Now they’re looking ahead to career paths that build on what they learned.

With wars unfolding in far-flung places from Ukraine to the Horn of Africa, Cornell faculty are joining with international collaborators at Cornell Global Hubs to understand the organized violence of modern war – and find ways for nations to act together to keep the peace.

The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences at the City University of Hong Kong welcomed a high-level delegation from Cornell University in early November. The long-standing strategic partnership between JCC and Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, which began in 2009, has been instrumental in shaping JCC's development and its world-class veterinary program since its inception.

Cornell leaders traveled across China and Asia in early November to connect with alumni, deepen partnerships, celebrate academic milestones, and engage in discussions on a wide range of global challenges. The multistop trip included the sixth annual Cornell-China Forum in Shanghai.

Cornell students received international recognition and a cash prize from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology during its One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition 2025.

Up to 20 early-stage research projects will receive funding from this year’s Global Hubs Research Seed Grants, connecting Cornell faculty with researchers at Global Hubs partner universities. Applications are due Oct. 15. 

The Brooks Global Policy Exchange is a reciprocal global learning experience that connects Cornell students with their peers at Global Hubs partner universities like USFQ. 

Nine PhD students from Imperial College London were placed at Cornell this summer—seven on the Cornell Ithaca campus and two at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. They partnered with Cornell professors and researchers as part of the Imperial Global Fellows Fund.
